Concrete casting of waste pit bottom plate in main building was completed on 14th March 2021 for Henan Zhengzhou Domestic Waste to Energy DB Project contracted by GDE. The project, located in Dengzhou Jingmai Industrial park and south of the 2nd Wastewater Plant of Dengzhou City, with total occupied area 66666.7 m2 , ran in DB (design + construction) contracting mode.
It is reported that the total design scale of the project is 1500T /d and will be implemented in two phases. In the first phase, the waste incineration line includes 2× 500t /d grate incinerator +1×20MW steam turbine generator set. It is expected to achieve daily capacity of 1000 ton domestic waste and annual of 365,000 ton; 1×500 t/ d grate incineration line +1×10MW steam turbine generator set are adopted in the second phase of the project, which is expected to achieve daily capacity of 500 ton domestic waste and annual of 182,500 ton.
The project head introduced that the project in Dengzhou city had been listed as a key project in Henan Province for two consecutive years, and was listed as the“982” project in Henan Province in February 2020.
With the process of urbanization, waste, generated from urban metabolism, has become a heavy problem of urban development in China, as many cities in the world have even waste siege situation. China’s waste treatment industry started developing late, but through continuous development and technological innovation, it began to take shape, and entered the growth stage from the initiation stage, is moving forward to the mature stage. GDE is one of the earliest company engaged in waste to energy engineering with realizing waste as a most potential resource of city. In aspect of technology, GDE has been also in constant summarizing the most advantageous solution to environmental protection during past exploration.
GDE technical team believes that in the process of waste to energy, harmful and toxic substances in garbage can be destroyed by high temperature oxidation and pyrolysis, and harmful objects and fly ash produced in the combustion process can be discharged up to standard after treatment, which can maximize hazard-free treatment, reduction and resource treatment of waste, to protect environment furthest.
After completion of the project, it will greatly reduce the troubles of domestic waste on urban residents, and also contribute to the level of domestic waste recycling by “turning waste into treasure”, so as to obtain good social and environmental protection effect.
